This is what it’s all about.
When a customer sends a picture of their tornado go bag hanging in their safe place at home, that’s how I measure success.
Yes, we need revenue to keep the mission going. But the number in the bank account isn’t what gets me excited to wake up early to create Tuesday Tornado Tips, record podcasts, or do news interviews.
What motivates me is knowing there are families who are now ready.
It’s knowing kids will feel a little less storm anxiety because their parents have a plan.
With every bag we include a simple request:
“Take a picture of your tornado go bag hanging in your safe place. Email it to info@tornadogobag.com and we’ll send you a free mug.”
It might seem like an extra step, but it means something important:
People aren’t just buying the bag — they’re actually preparing.
Seeing that first photo meant everything. And I hope many more customers send theirs in.
Because preparedness is the real win.
