Edlin Solutions

E-D-L-I-N

For two full seasons, my coach called me the wrong name… and I never corrected him. I was 9 years old. Every game he’d say,“El-din, you’re on first.” And every time I’d respond, “Okay, Coach.” My last name is pronounced Ed-lin. It’s commonly mispronounced and misspelled. Honestly, it still happens all the time. In fact, I’ve […]

Pictures of readiness > money

Pictures of readiness > money This is what it’s all about. When a customer sends a picture of their tornado go bag hanging in their safe place at home, that’s how I measure success. Yes, we need revenue to keep the mission going. But the number in the bank account isn’t what gets me excited to wake up early to create Tuesday Tornado Tips, record podcasts, or do news interviews. What motivates me is knowing there are families who are now ready. It’s knowing kids will feel a little less storm anxiety because their parents have a plan. With every bag we include a simple request:“Take a picture of your tornado go bag hanging in your safe place. Email it to info@tornadogobag.com and we’ll send you a free mug.” It might seem like an extra step, but it means something important:People aren’t just buying the bag — they’re actually preparing. Seeing that first photo meant everything. And I hope many more customers send theirs in. Because preparedness is the real win.

Customer Is The Hero

“The customer is the hero.” We’ve all heard it. It sounds simple… until you actually try to build a brand around it. Because the truth is—while the customer should be the hero, your company still has to show up as the guide. The authority. The one with a clear point of view and a real solution. And […]

Unboxing Videos = Prepared!

Every time I get sent an unboxing video from a customer, I stop what we’re doing and watch it. It never gets old. Seeing someone open their tornado go bag, hearing their thoughts, watching them realize “okay… I’m actually prepared now”—that hits me every single time. Because 6 years ago, when an EF3 tornado hit […]

Empower Your Team!

Are you the kind of leader who empowers your team to show up for the community when it matters most? I’ve been sharing Tuesday Tornado Tips for the past six weeks on my Youtube channel but this story might be my favorite. Just 48 hours after a tornado destroyed my house back in 2020, my wife and […]
